Welcome to November, Summit Families,

We are grateful you are part of our community. Here is a snapshot of what we have planned for our time together this month.

Event Night: Summit Church Takeover: On a Friday! Friday, November 20th Summit is taking over the church. Students are encouraged to bring a pie to share and join us for a night of fun games and fellowship. More details to come. For now, mark this important day change on your calendar. No Summit on the regularly scheduled Wednesday, November 18th; instead, Summit Event Night on Friday, November 20th!

Thanksgiving Break There will be no Summit on Wednesday, November 25th. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank you, Parent Volunteers! Thank you parents for your dedicated support in the kitchen as we serve our middle schoolers! We have some volunteer spots open for anyone wanting to try it out.

Summit Food Drive
Hi Summit Families, Summit is participating in the Big Picture Food Drive to help support students in need in our community! We’d love for our families to join us by donating nonperishable food items. Donations are being collected through November 10th, so there’s still time to participate! You can bring your items on Summit Sunday or on a Summit Wednesday. Every donation makes a difference and helps support local students. Thank you for being part of Summit and for helping us serve our community!

Hi Summit Families, October is just around the corner and with it a few details we would like to share with you for the upcoming month. Baptisms A baptism class for kids and middle schoolers will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 5:30 p.m. on Zoom. Baptisms will then follow on Sunday, October 18th. Please reach out to Pastor Brenna with any questions brenna.modine@mercercreek.org Where, When, Why Meet us at the Mercer Creek Gym from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday unless otherwise notified. Doors will not open until 6:25 p.m. as leaders will be meeting to go over the night. Summit exists to advance God’s Kingdom by fostering loving relationships between students and Jesus, caring adult leaders, and peers. Thank you, Parent Volunteers! Thank you parents for your support in the kitchen as we serve food to our middle schoolers! We are still looking for more parents who would be willing to assist with set up, distribution, and clean up. What would that look like? ● 6:15 p.m. arrive to set up utensils and food ● 6:25 p.m. serve food and engage students with a warm welcome ● 6:45 p.m. clean up and fill out the order sheet noting any items that need to be stocked A link is provided below for you to select a date that works for you. Summit September Newsletter
Hi Summit Families, Welcome Back! We will be kicking off Summit on Wednesday, September 16th. Meet us at the Mercer Creek Gym from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday unless otherwise notified. Doors will not open until 6:25 p.m. as leaders will be meeting to go over the night so keep an eye on any inclement weather and please plan accordingly. Food We will be offering food for the kids upon arrival. For $1 students will have the choice between 1) a pizza slice or 2) a cup of noodle.Water and sparkling water will also be offered with any choice. Parent Volunteer Opportunity Thank you parents for your support serving food at Summit. Some of you have already signed up before as kitchen volunteers-thank you! We are still looking for more parents who would be willing to assist with set up, distribution, and clean up. We will be blocking off the North B Street entrance and the area by the gym (red lines). This is to help with traffic and provide a safe area for students to play outside. We also ask that you follow the blue arrows and only go in that direction for entering and exiting. If you are needing to park while waiting for your students, we ask that you park in the area circled in green that is in the visible range of our leaders so we can keep an eye on our students as they leave.
